CAMS is a short-term, intensive intervention that specifically targets individuals experiencing suicidal ideation and/or exhibiting self-harm behaviors across the lifespan. Participants who complete the entire CAMS-care training, consisting of a self-guided Foundational Video Course (this is completed virtually, prior to the workshop at your pace), an In-Person Role Play Training/Workshop, and 4 consultation calls, will receive 10 CEUs. After participating in all elements of the training, you can opt-in to the clinician locator with CAMS-Care which is a public way to let people know that you have been trained. The Howard County Behavioral Health Authority will also use your information to refer clients to you that fit the criteria of the CAMS model. The training will include use of a Suicide Status Form (SSF) to screen and assess for suicide risk and address patient-identified drivers of suicidality in weekly therapy sessions. The consultations will take place in a virtual format where the clinician will choose when they can join virtually at a scheduled time. In exchange for the training, clinicians will be asked to send a simple quarterly datasheet tracking their utilization of the model to the LBHA.
