MY 2024 RESIDENTS SURVEY

As your local MP for Brisbane, I represent nearly 200,000 local residents. I try as hard as I can to reach as many of you as possible — but that’s sometimes an impossible task. That’s why I try to run regular surveys like this one, which is now my third since I was elected in 2022.

This survey should take around ten minutes to complete and every question here is optional — so please fill in as much or as little as you would like. Feel free to skip any question you'd like.

This is a completely anonymous survey. Please be as brutally honest as you want because I truly value your feedback. I especially want to hear from people who aren’t usually Greens voters!

All of the data from this survey will be kept strictly confidential and deidentified and will only be used to inform me and my team of local residents’ priorities. I ask demographic questions — including how you voted in the most recent state election — because I want to be confident that this survey reflects our community's diversity and not just one particular social bubble.

Moved amendments in Parliament to wipe all student debt

Helped over 3,500 people deal with NDIS, visas, Centrelink, health and public and social housing

Fought to protect LGBTIQA+ people from workplace discrimination and ensured they are counted in the Census

Introduced amendments to bring in an LGBTIQA+ Human Rights Commissioner

Secured a ‘right to disconnect’ so workers don’t have to answer work emails, texts, or calls outside of work hours

Secured more flights over the water and introduced a bill for a cap and curfew at Brisbane Airport

Secured sustainable funding for key local services like Brisbane Youth Service and Open Doors

Secured $1.7 billion in extra funding to help homes and businesses lower their energy bills and get off gas

Helped make Brisbane one of only three Queensland electorates to vote Yes on the Voice to Parliament referendum

Secured an extra $3 billion in new funding for social housing, six times what Labor originally planned to spend

Improved environmental laws including the climate safeguard mechanism and scrapping dodgy carbon offsets

Spent over $40,000 of my salary to deliver free community BBQs every month, run a free community pantry, and dozens of grants to local community groups
