The Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission (CSPDC) is updating its Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Hazard mitigation is the effort to reduce loss of life and property by lessening the impact of disasters before it happens. Mitigation plans allow a community to assess its risks and vulnerabilities; create strategies to reduce damage to structures, infrastructure, and properties; and, ultimately, become more resilient. By completing this survey, you will help the CSPDC gain a better understanding of the public's perspective regarding natural hazards in the region.

Thank you for your time and help!
