Who we are
Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) is a state agency in charge of quality and qualifications in Irish further, higher and English language education.

What is this survey for?
There have been many recent developments in technology that can affect how we learn and how we work. We want to know your thoughts on generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL-E, Midjourney and others.

We are interested in learning:
  • how you feel about these tools
  • if and how you use them
  • if they are part of your education experience
  • how you think they might impact your future career.

We plan to conduct this survey every year for at least three years to see how this develops. Following each survey, we will publish a report of the results. Your responses will help education providers in preparing learners for the future.

Who can take this survey?
This survey is for learners aged 18 and over in further education, higher education or English language education. Participation is voluntary.

Completing this survey
We estimate that the survey should take 20 mins to complete.
  • For most questions, you will select a response from a short list of options.
  • A small number of questions provide space for you to answer in your own words.
  • If you are not sure how to answer any question, either select the “Unsure” option or enter “Unsure” in the relevant text box.

Privacy and data protection
The survey is anonymous. We do not ask for personal data and your responses will be only be seen by a few QQI staff members working on this project. If you include any personal data in your responses, this will be fully protected. Your responses may be used in our published reports on the survey but will not identify you. We will keep survey responses for 2 years after the final survey.
