Challenging and uncertain times continue. The stronger the sense of connection– local people working together in a united way – the more resilient the community.

WE ARE RESILIENT BECAUSE WE ARE A COMMUNITY THAT CARES ABOUT EACH OTHER.

United Way has joined together with government, local businesses, foundations, trusts, and philanthropists in an effort to make it easy for front-line human and social service organizations to rapidly respond to effects of COVID-19 as they work to serve our community's most vulnerable residents.

This application for support is intended for registered charities, nonprofits, and community groups providing services in the Chatham-Kent area that are directly assisting with human and social service needs as part of the COVID-19 response.

THIS ROUND OF FUNDING IS AVAILABLE FOR SENIORS (55+), YOUTH (0-25), PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS, EMERGENCY FOOD INSECURITY AND MENTAL HEALTH/PROBLEMATIC SUBSTANCE USE AND INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE.
This is a rolling application (ongoing). Applications received by noon each Thursday will be reviewed the following Friday. If your organization is experiencing need, we would strongly encourage you to discuss your needs with Patty at (226) 626-5023 or patty@uwock.ca BEFORE you complete this application.

If you are an individual in need, we'd like to assist you in finding the help you need, too! We invite you to call our information hotline by dialing 2-1-1 from your phone or visiting 211ontario.ca. Phones are always answered by live information and referral specialists, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. They will help to connect you to local organizations and community groups that may be able to assist you.
