Kaw Nation Homeowner's Survey

Tribal Community Asked to Participate in Homeowner Assistance Survey

The Kaw Nation has received two funding opportunities to assist Tribal members with necessary assistance during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Kaw Nation will receive a funding allocation for the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) which was established under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. This money can be used for certain eligible purposes for those homeowners experiencing financial hardship.

The Kaw Nation also received the BIA-Housing Improvement Program (HIP) which is intended to make necessary updates to homes that make them more habitable during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Tribe will use the survey results to develop a plan to meet the needs of Kaw Nation homeowners with HAF, HIP, & other possible funding resources.
