Community Impact Grant Volunteer Role

Community Impact Grant (CIG) volunteers will be a part of the team that will be evaluating Community Impact Grant applications submitted by nonprofit organizations in 2025. This application is for volunteers interested in joining United Way of Metropolitan Dallas to drive transformative change and advance equity in the areas of Education, Income and Health.

Between January and May of 2025, volunteers will spend approximately 40-60 hours of total time working in this role. CIG volunteers will receive training, read and evaluate applications on their own time, make virtual and/or in person site visits to organizations that have applied for a grant from United Way during the standard business day, and participate in meetings where recommendations are made about awarding grants. A full volunteer description and timeline can be found in this link.

This application is due Jan 10, 2025. Volunteers will be informed in late January of 2025 if they have been selected to serve as a Community Impact Grant volunteer. If you work for an organization that applies for a grant you will be ineligible for this volunteer role.

If you have any questions, please contact Cathy Lee at clee@unitedwaydallas.org.
