Purpose of Survey - Developing the Consolidated Plan

Serving as the lead for the Choanoke Area Housing Consortium, Halifax County is in the process of developing the 2023-2027 Five-year Consolidated Plan (ConPlan). This plan is designed to assess affordable housing and community development needs to help us make data-driven decisions for the federally funded HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) program. 

Public input is a critical part of developing the ConPlan. By completing the short survey and participating in the process, you will help identify affordable housing and community development priorities.

Note, the Choanoke Area Housing Consortium assists the low-income and underserved areas of Halifax County, Bertie County, Hertford County, Martin County, Northampton County, and 38/39 municipalities (Seaboard is not part of the consortium). HOME funds are utilized for the creation and retention of affordable housing throughout the Consortium service area.
