Applications are reviewed by a committee of Leadership Institute members. You will be notified of the results of this review within 30 days after your application is received by CGP. If you are admitted to the Leadership Institute, you will be invoiced for the annual fee of $150. This fee is in addition to annual CGP membership dues. CGP membership is required for all Leadership Institute members.

The minimum qualification for Leadership Institute members is board, committee/task force or equivalent service to at least one other organization, including CGP and/or its affiliated planned giving councils, estate planning councils, bar associations, ACTEC, AFP, ACGA, AHP, NAEPC, SFSP, AALU, CASE, and other fundraising or relevant professional organizations. Alternatively, describe any book or research you have published that significantly advances the understanding and practice of philanthropic planning.

The minimum qualification for Leadership Institute members is three specific examples of any of the following types of service: presentations professional conferences, published books or articles in professional media (journals/web sites, etc.), mentoring of less experienced colleague(s) outside of the candidate's firm or organization, teaching in a CEU course or other training program for charitable planners, or equivalent.
