Camp Garner Creek (CGC) Application for Summer o' Fun!

Would you like to apply to be an intern during the summer of 2023 at Camp Garner Creek?  Summer is the busiest time of the year at CGC, and you have the opportunity to learn, serve, and lead. We offer a stipend for the 10-week experience as well as free room and board.

Past interns say it's a hard, fun, and rewarding experience with a variety of work. Things kick off on Sunday, May 27, @ 1:30 pm with orientation and wind down on Friday, August 4.  Everyone has off Monday, June 26-Sunday, July 2. This allows a week for summer vacation.
Compensation for the 10-week period is $3,600 divided into weekly installments. Housing is provided. Food is included whenever we have groups eating on campus…which is most weekdays of the 9 weeks.

One of the unique aspects of your summer will be working and playing closely in a community of other students with many of the same shared goals. If you have friends also interested, you may want to ask them to apply, too. Summer is an awesome experience when you come on the buddy program.
To be considered you must remain on campus weekdays and weekends through the end of the 3rd week.  So much happens in teambuilding during these first weekends, it's important for everyone to be on board. Following that, if you have a week you need to be off, we can accommodate you.

Good communication is a great way to start a work relationship, so here are important details about the hiring process.
1) The CGC staff is excited to work with the interns each summer. We will give 100% to make this an experience you will remember for years.
2) Preference is given to applicants who are available all 9 weeks and who will remain on campus during the weekends.
3) The work week begins Sunday evening at 5 pm for a team small group meeting. The work week ends on Friday at 5 p.m. (If schedule are modified to include a weekend change, you will always be afforded ample time off as opposed to working 7 days a week.)
4) When you live in the same place you work, the line between work time and personal time gets blurry. It's easy to feel as if you are "working all the time," even though you won't be scheduled to work more than 8 hours a day and no more than 40 hours per week. Take care of yourself!

I look forward to working with the team God allows us to bring together this summer!
