Welcome to Community Emergency Response Team Training Registration


Wyandotte County Emergency Management is hosting training for Community Emergency Response Team Basic-Training.

WyCo CERT training will consist of three (3) training sessions. The training offered into 3 separate sessions covering the topics of:
* Unit 1 Disaster Preparation
* Unit 2 CERT Organization
* Unit 3 Disaster Medical Operations (Part 1)
* Unit 4 Disaster Medical Operations (Part 2)
* Unit 4a Stop The Bleed
* Unit 5 Disaster Psychology
* Unit 6 Fire Safety & Utility Controls
* Unit 7 Light Search & Rescue
* Unit 8 Terrorism and CERT

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may occur where they live. The CERT program offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.

Location and Time:
The series-of-trainings will be offered on August 23rd (6 pm to 9pm), 24th (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) and 25th (1:00 pm to 4:pm). You must attend all 3 course dates, to complete the course.
