2024 CERIC Survey of Career Service Professionals |
Section A: Tell us about your experience in the career services field
The Survey of Career Service Professionals is a national survey run by CERIC, a charitable organization that advances career development in Canada.
Your responses will help CERIC, and the field at large, to better understand your interests and challenges, as well as your research and learning needs – and to advocate on behalf of the profession.
This survey was previously run in 2011, 2015 and 2019. In 2019, over 1,300 career development practitioners (CDPs) completed the survey and provided rich data that helped to inform CERIC’s work.
In this survey the terms "career service professionals" and "career development professionals" are used interchangeably to refer to but not limited to: career practitioners, career educators, career management consultants and coaches, employment advisors, guidance counsellors, work experience coordinators and vocational rehabilitation workers.
Findings from the 2024 survey will also be used to generate a picture of how the sector has changed over time. The survey is structured as follows:

This survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Your answers will be confidential and information will only be shared in aggregate. The survey will remain open until October 18, 2024.

Preliminary findings will be shared at Cannexus25, Canada’s Career Development Conference (January 27–29, 2025). Detailed results will appear on CERIC’s website in 2025.
