NTEN is leading a research project to illustrate the realities, challenges, and plans for data use in nonprofits. We're eager to provide information about data use in nonprofits for the sector that can serve as benchmarks for future research and compare this year's findings to those from our previous surveys in 2020 and 2022. At the end of the survey, there will also be an optional opt-in for those who may be willing to work with us on case studies or further interviews of your experience.
For this survey, please respond to your best ability as a nonprofit staff person. If you are not a nonprofit staff member, please do not complete the survey. You are invited to share this survey with any nonprofit staff that you know or work with.
Throughout the survey, "CRM" means Constituent Relationship Management or database.
None of the data you provide in this survey will be shared individually. Instead, all survey results will be reported in aggregate.

This survey includes 40 questions (including general organization information), and we anticipate it to take about 20 minutes to complete. The results will be compiled into a report scheduled for early 2025.
