IWA WWCE2018 - Session Chairs Expression of Interest Survey

Please use this form to express your interest in chairing a technical session at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 2018, 16-21 September, Tokyo. Based on your answers, the Congress Programme Committee will select two session chairs per session. The results will be announced until the 15th of April.

Chairing a session at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 2018 provides access to top developments in your areas of interest and it’s a recognition of your leadership role in the sector. Sessions chairs will be acknowledged for their contribution.

The chairs of each technical session are responsible for:

- Contacting the technical session presenters (up to six) prior to the Congress to become familiar with the work they will present at the event;
- Liaising with the IWA secretariat and Programme Committee;
- Reading and selecting up to 5 posters related to the session and presenting a short summary at the end of the session;
- Ensuring adequate time keeping in the session and guiding and enriching the discussion at the end of each paper presentation;

- Provide a short summary of the key learnings of the session to the IWA secretariat.

Please bear in mind that all session chairs will be asked to attend the Congress as registered delegates.
