On December 12th the Gretna Area Chamber will host a public meeting to answer questions with regards to the Good Life District special election. Voting starts December 28th to allow the City to capture a 2.75% sales tax to replace what the State gave up when it established the Good Life District. This vote is not ‘for’ a particular development OR developer, just to allow the money to be captured by the City and allow the City Council to decide how it’s used for development in the Good Life District and for City administrative and infrastructure costs. This is a rare opportunity for Gretna to use State funding on projects right here in Gretna. For more information on Gretna's Good Life District project visit the city's informational website.
