Thank you for your interest in joining the Carolina Classic Fair as a volunteer in 2025! The dates for the 2025 Carolina Classic Fair are October 3-12. Our fair brings together our community for 10 days of family-friendly fun and entertainment for all ages. This application is for those interested in working with competitive entry exhibits in the Event Center. This could include all competitive entry departments, excluding livestock. Please see the list of positions available below.

Intake Day Volunteer:
  • Run entries from check-in desk to specified department area
  • Help organize departments
  • Help with other check-in duties as necessary
Department Judge:
  • Make sure all entries comply with the rules and guidelines
  • Assess each entry based on established criteria, ensuring fair and consistent judging
Department Assistant:
  • Assist participants and visitors with inquiries and providing support during the fair
  • Assist with the setup of department area, including arranging exhibits and ensuring the area is well-maintained
  • Available to help on Intake Days (Sep. 27-28, 2025) and Pickup Day (October 13, 2025)
Department Superintendent:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for exhibitors, providing them with information and support throughout the fair
  • Maintain accurate records of entries, results, and any incidents, to report to fair management
  • Ensure all entries comply with Competitive Entry rules and guidelines
  • Coordinate with judges to ensure fair and consistent evaluation of entries
  • Available to help on Intake Days (Sep. 27-28, 2025) and Pickup Day (October 13, 2025)
*It's preferred that department judges, assistants, and superintendents have some kind of association or interest in the department to which they're applying for. Example: Photography judge has knowledge of photography techniques and skills.
