Invitation to be Part of a Research Study
The purpose of this study is to explore the process of identity development for individuals using a ecological perspective, which acknowledges that development takes place in a complex social context. Research has shown that our social environment has a large impact on our development and the way we view ourselves, and this investigation would provide additional information in the field of psychology about how people are impacted by their environment. Our understanding of these topics helps inform appropriate treatment and support options for people who are struggling in accepting and understanding their identities.
