Community Health Investment Survey

Community benefit investment programs--including grantmaking, charitable sponsorships, and social impact investing--are a powerful and increasingly-used tool by hospitals and health systems. Such programs can help strengthen the local nonprofit ecosystem and advance hospitals’ community citizenship efforts. However, data is limited on outbound philanthropy by these unique funders.

With this survey, we aim to furnish hospital grantmakers with information to help them establish and improve their programs. The survey includes 29 questions across 6 sections; it should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Results will be presented only in the aggregate; no individual responses will be identifiable. All participants will be eligible to receive a complimentary, complete set of survey results and are invited to join a special facilitated (virtual) session on October 6th.
