Call for nominations for the Secretary of the IWA Specialist Group on Institutional Governance and Regulation |
Dear Group Members,
Applications are being accepted for the Secretary position in the Institutional Governance and Regulation Specialist Group.
The Institutional Governance and Regulation SG contributes to the understanding and appreciation of the importance of institutions, good governance’ and effective regulation towards the achievement of sustainable water use. Institutions, governance and regulation affect all aspects of water use and water management, including water resource management and the delivery of water services, including urban water supply, urban sanitation (both sewered and non-sewer sanitation), and sludge management.
The scope of the group is wide-ranging.You can read our group overview and scope here
If you are interested in contributing to the group management, please submit your nomination for a Secretary positions online before 25 January 2025.
Self-nominations are encouraged as well as nominations from gender minorities and Young Water Professionals.
An election for the management committee will be held every 4 years.
The main responsibilities of the Secretary
The secretary shall act as the main contact person between the management committee, group, and IWA and maintain a written record of all business and matters presented, and the action thereupon, at all meetings of the management committee. The secretary shall maintain a record of all events in which the group participates, and prepare an annual report for each year served.
