Bike Month 2025 Event & Sponsorship Application |
May is Bike Month!
This application will remain open. We will update here when all funds are allocated and no sponsorships are remaining.
Please Read before filling out the application:
Want to host an event at your business, school, or in your community? Rideshare offers up to $200 in event sponsorship to make it happen! Get your event on the calendar and apply for sponsorship funds (optional) by filling out this form. Employers are encouraged to host a bike breakfast/happy hour for commuters.
Dates to remember:
Bike to School Day
May 7
Schools are encouraged to host a welcoming event for students biking, walking, and rolling to school. We'll provide giveaway items and you provide the high-fives!
Bike to Work Week
May 12-18
Community Celebrations
May 1-31
Community groups and organizations are encouraged to get creative and host a bike themed event. From group rides to repair fairs, we're here to support your concept with financial and promotional resources!
Scheduling your event:
If applying for a Bike breakfast/happy hour, when filling out this form you’ll be asked to provide your top 3 date choices, we will then let you know which date you’ve been assigned. If your preferred dates already have events scheduled on them, we may ask you to select a new date or you may not be guaranteed a sponsorship.
If you’re planning to host a community event: please write in your preferred date.
Bike Breakfast Dates: REMEMBER some people work remotely on Mondays/Fridays so events for commuters on Tuesday-Thursday are more likely to have higher attendance.
Lastly, each year we set goals for Bike Month. We ask that you consider the following goals while developing and hosting your event:
1. Increase number of people riding bikes in SLO County
2. Increase engagement with Diverse communities
3. Increase engagement with low-income individuals
4. Increase attendance at events
5. Get more people to sign up for iRideshare.org and the Rideshare newsletter
6. Expand Bike Month's reach, engage regional participation
7. Build Community
