The City of Bastrop adopted its Comprehensive Plan in 2016. Since then, the City has experienced significant changes and growth, including new developments and numerous public investments in roads, sewers and other infrastructure. To account for recent and future growth the City is updating portions of it 2016 Comprehensive Plan – Community Growth and Land Use & Community Image. Over the next four (4) weeks, the City will engage with the public through a series of short touch point surveys to gather input on past and future growth, resilient development, and community character and image. Each week, the City will disseminate a series of short surveys related to the various goals of the comprehensive plan. The four weeks will explore questions on the following:

· Week 1: Community goals

· Week 2: Future Land Use - What should Bastrop look like in 20 years?

· Week 3: Growth program - How can we grow responsibly?

· Week 4: Hazards analysis - Are we prepared enough?

Each week, the survey is intended to take five (5) minutes or less. While the survey is short, the responses are important. Your feedback will help us reaffirm community goals established in 2016 or identify new priorities to address future growth.
In this first survey of our Bastrop 4 in 4 Community Touch Points Series, we are focusing on community goals. Please take a moment to reflect on the 2016 Community Goals related specifically to Community Growth, Land Use and Character, and let us know if they still align with your expectations for Bastrop’s growth. The following questions should only take you about five (5) minutes to answer.
