Bear Outfitters - COVID-19 impact

COVID-19 is impacting tourism businesses across the province. We know that the first resource-based tourism businesses to be impacted are those who offer a spring bear hunt.

We are conducting a survey to collect information on BMA fees, bear hunt cancellations and the loss of revenue associated with these cancellations.

We will use this information to push Government to acknowledge that our industry is being severly impacted RIGHT NOW even if most businesses aren't open. Among other things, we are asking the Ontario Government to hold BMA fees to acknowledge that our businesses need support.
