Bloomington Transit is studying the feasibility of an East-West Bus Rapid Transit Corridor

The service would speed up travel through more frequent service, a more direct path, and potentially supportive bus priority infrastructure.

The study team has developed potential alternatives with different routing, road and station treatments, and potential impacts to other existing routes.

Now, we need your input to determine what is most important to you as we narrow down the potential alternatives.

About the Green Line

The Green Line corridor would connect the city's eastern edge with Ivy Tech. It would offer faster and more frequent service seven days a week, a more direct path, and potentially include supporting bus priority infrastructure. The Green Line would:

  • Run seven days a week with extended daily hours
  • Arrive every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends
  • Operate with station amenities and enhanced vehicles
  • Provide bus priority at intersections and dedicated bus lanes
