The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is partnering with Tompkins County and other area stakeholders to advance a clean-energy solar project on a portion of the former Caswell Road Landfill. The proposed solar array project will generate approximately 12.5 megawatts of renewable power to help New York State achieve its goal of generating 70% of the State's electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

The Build-Ready Caswell Road Landfill site is located just south of the intersection of Caswell Road (NYS 166) and Peruville Road. The total site acreage is 112.5 acres while the total acreage of buildable area will be 63 acres.

Public and stakeholder input is an important part of NYSERDA's Build-Ready Program. NYSERDA and local partners would like your input and opinions on the proposed project. Please complete the survey below and submit it on or before May 17th, 2024.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT!
