ADA 101 Thursday September 27, 3:00-4:30pm.

Cultivating staff awareness is a step toward building accessible practices and equitable programs. This workshop will address a cultural organization’s obligations under the ADA; and provide guidance, resources, and ideas to take that first step toward compliance. Cultural competency work is a method for community connection.  Are you inviting everyone to come through your front door?

The Mass Cultural Council’s Universal Participation (UP) Initiative was established to advance access to cultural facilities throughout the Commonwealth.  Access is defined broadly to highlight physical, fiscal, cultural, and social barriers.  The UP Initiative takes as a basic tenet that increasing accessibility for people with disabilities increases accessibility for everyone.

Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill is located near Truro center off Rte. 6. More specific directions provided after registration.
