The Town of Chapel Hill and Town of Carrboro are facing off in the Mayor’s Save Water Challenge!
Save water throughout the month of April and Help Crown your Town the Water Winner.

SAVE WATER INSIDE
Take Shorter Showers (save 300 gallons per month)
Install low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators (save 500 to 1,000+ gallons per month)
Fix leaks! (Register for OWASA’s Agua Vista to track water use and identify leaks)
Wash only full loads of dishes; right-size your laundry loads (save 500 to 1,000 gallons per month)

SAVE WATER OUTSIDE
Raise lawnmower blades (save 150 gallons per month)
Don’t water moist soil (save up to 1,400 gallons per month)
Use a broom instead of a hose (save 100 gallons per month)
Plant native and water-thrifty plants

PROTECT WATER
Scoop up my pet’s waste
Use reusable shopping bags and water bottles
Only flush the 3Ps (Pee, Poop and toilet Paper)
