This survey is for afterschool providers and contains two parts. If you wish to only respond to one part of this survey, you may skip the other section.
Part 1: SACC Issues
The Network for Youth Success has the opportunity to share existing concerns with school-age child care (SACC) regulations with the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Please note that there will be no penalty for disclosing ongoing issues or violations in this survey. Only your concerns and the region your program is based in will be shared with OCFS, unless you would like further assistance addressing your concerns as noted in question 12.
This survey is gathering information on issues relating to:
1. Issues with physical plant requirements for SACC regulated programs based in school buildings;
2. Issues with co-located programs or programs that blend/braid funding streams; and,
3. Other existing concerns with implementation of SACC regulations.
Part 2: OCFS Market Rate Survey Feedback
Every two years, the Office of Children and Family Services conducts a survey of the price of child care across the state of New York. This information is used to make sure that the rates that the county department of social services pays for child care on behalf of low-income families are consistent with the child care market in that county. This survey was recently conducted, and responses to this survey were low. The Network would like feedback on issues and barriers with this survey to share with OCFS. Please consider responding to this section of the survey regardless of whether or not you were contacted for the Market Rate Survey.
