Introduction

Dear Colleague,
Over the last years, significant advances have been made in the field of supportive care measures, and specifically in an intensive care unit (ICU) with incorporation of life-saving treatments/ facilities.

There is however limited data on haematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) recipients requiring intensive care, especially for infectious complications. The results of the published studies are difficult to interpret; additionally, it must be acknowledged that there are no unified criteria for ICU admission, which makes comparison of the available data difficult.

Therefore, to gain better insight into these matters, we would like to invite you to fill out a short survey (about 10 minutes) on ICU organization and admission after HCT with special emphasis on infectious causes for admission.
