Community Consultation: Why Is this Important?

In developing and delivering services to people living with brain injury, Brain Injury SA (BISA) needs to know what is important to those who use or refer to our services.

The information we collect in this survey guides:
  • Our planning of new services
  • Our understanding of what services are needed
  • Our pursuit of resources to make services available
  • How our services are delivered or improved
  • How we can make services better for those who use them.
In this survey we ask questions in four key areas:
  • Your experience of brain injury and what would or did help you most?
  • Your use of BISA services and how you have found them?
  • Knowledge about brain injury in the community and where help can be found?
  • A few demographic questions that help us understand the diversity of people answering our survey and the range of their experiences.
The information we collect in this survey will be used collectively to help BISA keep improving its services and planning new ways we can help and support the brain injury community.

Who can complete the survey?

This survey can be answered by anyone who might have an interest Brain Injury SA, its services and its role in the community. It might be completed by someone who has experienced a brain injury, a family member or friend, someone whose role it is to refer to services to help individuals, or someone interested in assistance available for people with brain injury.

You will only be asked questions that are relevant to you.

This survey will build on information we have collected and utilised in past surveys, the last being in 2021. Most questions are straightforward and just ask you to select a choice of answer. Some of these questions might be more challenging, and you are welcome to skip over any that you do not wish to answer.

The survey will be open on 29 July 2024, and close 26 August 2024. Participation is voluntary, and your answers will remain anonymous.

It is anticipated that the survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Prize for Participation (to help you to help us to help you!)

For every individual that completes the survey, you are able to provide your contact details for a chance to win one of four $100 VISA gift vouchers. Your contact details provided for this will not be used in any other way.

Winners will be notified via phone on Friday 30 August 2024.

Please note, we highly encourage the participation of service providers in the disability sector, however, they are exempt from the prize draw.
