Industry supporter Gary Barnes of Tropical J's is transitioning his factory on Sand Island to help meet the pressing need for masks for protection of construction workers and other non medical use. Gary requests a survey of the need/ volume of masks that BIA members may need on an ongoing basis. He is manufacturing a very limited quantity of masks now but is seeking justification for bringing in an expensive automated mask making machine.

Masks types:
1. Multi-use doubled layered, pleated cotton, washable
2. Pleated disposable, imported
3. 4-Ply, filter fabric, similar filtration .3-.7 microns to N95 (.3 microns), excellent breathability, washable

Prices for washables between $4-$7 each dependent on total volume and availability of fabrics.

Imported disposable .60 cents up dependent on volume. (Awaiting shipment)
