BEST Center 2016 Workshop Application - Building Automation Systems V
Thank you for your interest in the National Science Foundation - BEST Center Workshop on Building Automation Systems!
The workshop will be held on June 8-11, 2016 in Clarkston, GA (near Atlanta), at GA Piedmont Technical College.
In this workshop, you will learn more about Building Automation and Controls course design and how to infuse Building Automation curriculum into your existing HVAC, Environmental Controls, or building performance programs. BAS V will cover:
- reinforcement of learning outcomes via hands-on activities

In this workshop, you will learn more about Building Automation and Controls course design and how to infuse Building Automation curriculum into your existing HVAC, Environmental Controls, or building performance programs. BAS V will cover:
- reinforcement of learning outcomes via hands-on activities
- setting up an instructional lab to support a BAS program
- overview and tour of GPTC's BAS and new commercial HVAC labs
- key lab exercises, equipment and software
- key lab exercises, equipment and software
If selected as a participant, you will develop your own work plan during the workshop and commit to begin implementation of the work plan upon return to your college. Priority will be given to applicants whose colleges are actively developing commercial BAS content within their curricula.
Travel, meals, and lodging will be covered by the BEST Center.
