Nominations close - Thursday 26 September at 5pm

A panel of independent judges will select the winners based on the award criteria, and may consist of members of the Turf Management SA Committee, Award Sponsors, Golf Industry Representatives/Identities and other Superintendent members as deemed appropriate.

TMSA members or their club officials may nominate individuals who they deem fit and meet the appropriate criteria for the awards.

TMSA - EXCELLENCE IN TURF MANAGEMENT AWARD

Who is Eligible?
Nominees for the Excellence in Turf Management Award must be a ‘Category A’ member of the TMSA and currently employed by their club as their Course Superintendent. They must not have received this or a similar national award within the previous five years unless they have changed facilities within that period.

Selection Criteria: Essential – The candidate must:
- Be a ‘Category A’ (Superintendent) member of the TMSA who;
- Has demonstrated prolonged excellence in the maintenance and presentation of their facility, or
- Be able to demonstrate significant major improvements to their facility within the last 24 months, and
- Is able to provide a description of the facility prior to and following changes/improvements

Desirable factors in considering the Essential Criteria can include the candidate:
- Demonstrating a commitment to excellence,
- Being able to plan and drive course improvements and/or
- Having an ability to improve their facility within club’s existing budgets and/or
- Showing originality in their techniques and initiatives and/or
- Being able to meet and exceed expectations of the club membership and/or
- Going above and beyond the regular call of duty
