HMH 2020 year Health Benefit changes

The employer made changes to the Medical and Dental 2020 plans that were not reasonably comparable.  Overall, the cost of plan and the benefits available were not comparable to the 2019 plan. We filed this grievance in 11/19 when the changes were announced.  the arbitrations are scheduled as follows: 5138 9/1/21; 5030 10/4/21; 5058 rescheduling.

Below are the list of changes.  ANSWER RELEVANT QUESTIONS ONLY.    The arbitrations are coming up next month. Please respond no later 8/30/21. 

Medical/Dental Plan changes that increased from 2019 to 2020. 

1.      Deductibles for Premium Plus and Premium Plan increased.
a.      Premium plus tier 2 increased to $1500/3000 from $750/$1,500.
b.      Premium plus tier 3 increased to $2000/$4000 from $1,000/$2,000.
c.      Premium plan tier 2 increased to $3000/$6000 from $1,000/$2,000.

2.      Maximum Out of Pocket increased.
a.      Tier 2 premium plus increased to $4000/$8000 from $3500/$7000.
b.      Tier 2 premium plan increased to $5000/$10,000 from $4500/$9000.

3.      Dental deductible for PPO increased to $100/ $200 from $50/$100.
