Ashford Bike Trail Feasibility Study Survey |
Purpose
50% |
The Mount Rainier Business Alliance (MRBA), with process support from ForeverGreen Trails, is working on a bike trail feasibility study for the Ashford, WA area. The study area includes the Nisqually Community Forest, (east) Elbe Hills State Forest, Tahoma State Forest, and the Osborne Mountain area of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
The study is primarily focused on mountain biking, though other activities could directly benefit such as hiking, running, dirt road recreational cycling (aka “gravel biking”), and snow sports such as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Equestrian and motorized off-road activities are not included in this study; however, they are mentioned in the survey and those participants might benefit from coordinated improvements resulting from this project. For clarity, electric-assist bicycles (aka “e-bikes” and “eMTBs”) and adaptive mountain bikes (whether electric assist or not and regardless of the number of wheels) are specifically included in this study.
As part of this planning effort, we need to gather information from trail users on what activities and features they would like in a destination riding area. Please provide your answers to the following questions as part of our outreach process. The maps included in this survey's questions are available in larger sizes at https://www.northwestportal.com/ashford.
