Angmering Community Survey 2024

Welcome to the Angmering Community Survey 2024. We are currently updating our annual plan and we need your help. Please answer all the questions in this survey - by doing so you will help influence the shape of not only our annual plan but the budget for 2025/2026 from your precept.

We want to create an annual plan that reflects the wants/needs of the residents of Angmering and prepare the budget to support this.

* 2. What do you think are the most important issues facing the parish at the moment?

* 3. Angmering Parish Council are trying to assist residents in being able to talk face to face with their County and District County Councillors.
They are available to answer questions at our Full Parish Council Meetings (2nd Monday of every month) and every qtr we hold a Councillor Drop in Session at the APC office for all residents to attend.

* 4. Also within our Annual Plan is to "Increase the provision for dedicated youth facilities in Angmering, aged 11-16"
APC have conducted several public consultation events and shared information via Facebook and All About Angmering Magazine regarding the proposal of a new building adjacent to the Angmering Community Centre.

* 5. One of the current headings from our Annual Plan is "To work with the local community towards Angmering becoming a cleaner and greener place to live and work"
Within the office you can currently recycle many items. Please advise which of the below you were aware of.

* 7. APC currently have 3 Traffic Regulation Orders being reviewed by West Sussex County Council. One of these was to amend the speed of Dappers Lane in the northern most section to 20mph and the consultation on this has just closed. The other 2 relate to extending the yellow lines on B2140 (by the train station) and current parking restrictions in the village - these are progressing through the process.
Would you like to see APC look into any other areas of the village with regards to improvements to safety - speed changes/signage improvements/line markings etc.

* 8. As a result of the survey from 2023, APC included a budget line in 2024/25 for providing a new bus shelter within the village. One will be installed in early 2025 at the southern end of Roundstone Lane.
Please suggest any other bus stops which you think would benefit from a bus shelter for the 2025/26 budget.

* 9. Are you aware that Angmering Parish Council has a Resilience Plan which lays out how they have considered possible risks to the village and how they could assist with regards to providing rest centres, road closures, equipment etc?

* 12. Sussex Resilience Forum are currently asking for people to complete a survey with the aim being able to identify current levels of risk awareness and preparedness across the county. The results will be used to ensure residents have the information they need to help them become more resilient.

* 15. Since the event several comments have been received to see if we could organise a similar event, initially on a smaller scale, but just focusing on health and wellbeing.
What are your thoughts on this? Would you attend? Is there anyone/anything you would like to see at this potential event?
