Queensland Writers Centre –
|
Since 2018, Queensland Writers Centre’s Adaptable: Turning the Page to Screen program has been forging creative connections between the literary and screen communities. The program seeks material for film or television adaptation, and accepts submissions of books and manuscripts across a broad range of genres and formats, published and unpublished.
Successful applicants to the Program are given the opportunity to pitch works with potential for screen adaptation to producers, screenwriters and screen industry professionals at a Market Day event in Brisbane (May 2025).
Feedback Sessions with QWC staff, to receive reader feedback on your submission and discuss next steps (regardless of the outcome), are available as an add-on for applicants with an unpublished manuscript.
Applications open: Monday 18 November 2024 – Tuesday 21 January 2025
By making an application you acknowledge you have read and understood the Program Guidelines. For assistance with your application, please contact us at able@qldwriters.org.au or call the Centre on (07) 3842 9922.
