Section 1 - Necessary Criteria

All candidates for the AVTE Fellows designation must meet a set of necessary criteria. Please initial each element to confirm that you meet this expectation for candidates. You are not required to submit documentation for these elements at the time of application but may be asked for materials as part of the review process.

Are a graduate of an accredited AVMA (or Canadian) veterinary technology or DVM program

Have been a credentialed veterinary technician or DVM for at least five years.

Have attended at least one AVTE Annual Meeting in the last five years.

Have attended at least one one additional conference (veterinary medicine or general education) in the last three years.

Was not the subject of any disciplinary proceedings for the last five years.
