Autism in Racing Raceday Application |
Apply for an Autism-friendly Raceday
Autism in Racing CIC has been founded to raise awareness of autism and educate the racing industry about how to make it easier for people with autism to enjoy a day at the races and find supported employment opportunities in racing.
We offer Sensory Spaces at British Racecourses on Autism-friendly Racedays
Working alongside mobile sensory room providers, autism-friendly sensory spaces are available at an expanded number of racecourses this year.
We are delighted that Cheltenham and Aintree have installed their own sensory rooms for use throughout the year.

Why horseracing?
Horseracing is the second largest spectator sport in the UK. As an industry, we feel strongly that a day at the races should be inclusive to all. If you are looking for a family day out where your needs will be supported - go racing!

In many cases you will be able to access the racecourse early to avoid the rush. You can use the sensory room as a base for the day and stay for as many races as you would like to. There will be a small number of families with children with autism or sensory processing issues who use the sensory room as a base for their day.
Staff will be on hand to help with any questions you may have about the racecourse and horseracing.
