Introduction

Welcome to the 2020 survey of Australian Landlords.

This survey comes at a critical time for landlords throughout Australia with a range of issues that directly impact on them being discussed by governments and in the media.

The Australian Landlords Association was recently formed with the specific aim of representing the three million individual landlords; we invite all Landlords to participate in this survey so that your voice can be heard.

This survey intends to provide insight into:
  • Who are Australia’s landlords?
  • What do they think about key issues?
  • How are residential landlords fairing?
  • How are commercial landlords fairing?
  • How are they being impacted by COVID-19 pandemic?
All responses will be treated anonymously, with only consolidated data, analytics and findings published in the report.

The survey results will be used by the Australian Landlords Association to help landlords be fairly and respectfully treated in media, community discussions and government legislation. All survey participants will receive a copy of the report.
