Artificial Intelligence in Public Health Network (AIIPHN)

Objectives of the AI Network Group:
This AIIPHN for CAPHIA aims to provide a collaborative space for knowledge sharing and innovative discussions on AI's role in shaping the future of public health education.
➢ Enhance collaboration among academics across institutions on the integration of AI in public health and population health education.
➢ Share insights on the use of AI in teaching, learning, and assessment within public health courses and programs.
➢ Examine and discuss policies and frameworks for AI use in both formative and summative assessments.
➢ Explore strategies for ensuring assessment integrity and assurance in the era of AI.
➢ Discuss approaches for building AI literacy among students, particularly in the context of public health education.
➢ Provide a platform for sharing best practices, case studies, and exemplars related to AI integration in higher education

Meeting Schedule
AIIPN will meet quarterly with the first meeting occurring on April 2nd, 2025 2pm - 3pm AEST.

Eligibility
The first meeting is open to both students and academics with a focus on AI in assessment and learning as well as preparation for the future workforce. Subsequent AIIPN meeting are for academics only to delve into items such as academic integrity, assessment security and assurance.

About the CAPHIA Networks
CAPHIA Networks are designed to foster collaboration and expertise in specific areas of academic public health. They are informal, academic-led groups which drive professional development and best practice in an area of interest. Membership is open to CAPHIA member institutions.
