Workshop 59: Child-Centered Facilitative Mediation
Parenting peace is paramount for healthy child development. Child centered mediation is an optimal process for parents to restructure and redefine their higher-conflict relationship to a more collaborative and peaceful co-parenting affiliation. Unlike litigation, mediation fosters collaboration and reduces toxic stress for the children, which leads to far healthier outcomes for children. This workshop will describe the unique ways a child-centered facilitative interest-based mediation process helps parents create child-centered parenting plans and practice effective co-parenting communication. The workshop will include lecture, case studies, group engagement, concrete tools, and discussion.
