Applicants must be approved by AACR staff before they can register for the meeting/conference. Approved applicants will receive an email with instructions on how to register.
Eligibility
Individuals registering for the discounted patient advocate registration rate must work or volunteer at a not-for-profit patient advocacy organization that:
- Demonstrates a charitable mission;
- Demonstrates a charitable mission;
- Engages in patient advocacy activities; and,
- Supports programs, activities, or services that benefit patients with cancer.
Individuals applying for the reduced patient advocate rate should exhibit dedicated efforts to promoting the interests of patients in cancer research and policy.

Previous AACR Active, Affiliate, or Associate members and scientists actively conducting research are not eligible for the patient advocate registration category.
Advocates with 5 years or more of lab experience are not eligible for the patient advocate registration category.
