ACT Greens Volunteer Code of Conduct & Agreement

Thanks for volunteering with the ACT Greens!

Everything we have achieved and will achieve is powered by people just like yourself. We want to make sure that you are supported and respected while volunteering with us.

Our Volunteer Policy applies to everyone involved in the ACT Greens.

Our aim is to ensure all volunteers have a positive experience, and are:

supported and inspired by clear guidance and leadership
excited to participate in field campaigning, events and other actions
assisted to learn skills that allow them to participate in new types of campaigning
given access to the information they need to perform their role(s)
able to make a difference through positive interactions with voters
part of a movement committed to courageous, systemic political change
happy to have made new friends and been part of a network of like-minded people.

Volunteers should not feel:

pressured to participate in anything they are not comfortable with
overworked, ‘burnt-out’ or overwhelmed by responsibilities
like they’ve been manipulative or misleading in how they speak with voters
that they are an insignificant cog in a giant political machine
pressured to socialise or cross any personal boundaries.
