ACNM 2025 Volunteer Leadership Candidate Consent Form

Thank you for volunteering to be considered as a leadership candidate for office for the 2025 ACNM election. Should you be elected, you must be willing to carry out the responsibilities of the office as outlined in the ACNM Bylaws which can be viewed on the ACNM Website.

To be an eligible leadership candidate, submit the form, and upload your photo and CV/Resume.

The qualifications for any of these roles are:

ACNM Advocacy** (prerequisite for eligibility)

Practice experience (i.e. setting)

Academic experience

ACNM volunteer experience (e.g. administration, fund-raising, policy, etc.) ACNM Leadership (Chair/Co-Chair positions)

Community involvement

Leadership qualities/style

The names of potential nominees will be held in confidence by the Nominating Committee and should be held in confidence by the nominees themselves until the ballot is released. Nominees must use the name and address shown on ACNM records. By signing next to the appropriate office, I hereby agree to have my name considered by the Nominating Committee on the year 2025 ballot of ACNM. President-Elect

1. Assist and advise the President, and perform other duties as requested or directed by the President.

2. Serve as Acting President in the absence or disability of the President, assume all authority conferred upon the office of President, and perform all duties for which the President is responsible until the President can resume duties.

3. Succeed to the office of President after one year as President-Elect.

4. Succeed to the office of President should the Presidency become vacant during an unfinished term.

5. Once you become President, you will be responsible for the following:

a. Presiding over as Chair at all meetings of the College, the Board, and the Executive Committee.

b. Appointment of an appropriate designee for Presidential responsibilities, including but not limited to, the role of Chair in meetings.

c. Direction of other Officers.

d. Responsibility to satisfy the directives of the Board.

e. Designation and appointment of ACNM representatives to other external organizations, subject to Board approval.

f. Appointment of division and task force chairpersons (except the Nominating Committee) subject to Board approval.

g. Administration of the affairs of ACNM according to the Articles of Incorporation, these

Bylaws, and the policies adopted by the Board.

h. Publication of an annual report of the activities and decisions of the Board no later than the Annual Meeting.

i. Being an ex officio non-voting member of all appointed bodies of the national organization except for the Executive Committee where the President is not a member.

Region I Representative (States: CT, ME, MA, NH, NY, RI, VT, PR)

1. Communicate Board charges to divisions and committees.

2. Serve as a liaison to selected groups.

3. Coordinate with national office staff on work priorities.

4. Report on issues related to the work of the volunteer structure, internal and external

stakeholders.

5. Respond to ACNM members or related constituent inquiries.

6. Provide input for documents as requested.

7. Represent ACNM to agencies and organizations external to ACNM related to the work of

ACNM.

Also:

1. Maintain regular contact with their local members to assess the needs of local members and to consider the good of the organization in all their votes; report quarterly to ACNM Board

2. Serve as liaisons to ACNM Divisions, Committees and collegial organizations.

3. Conduct a regional meeting during the ACNM Annual Meeting and may attend/organize other meetings throughout their region.

4. Contribute to Quickening, present the Exemplary Affiliate Award, coordinate the "With women, for a lifetime" commendation and communicate on a regular basis with members of their region.

5. Adhere to all terms concerning members of the Board.

Region III (AL, FL, GA, LA, MI, NC, SC, TN)

a. Communicate Board charges to divisions and committees.

b. Serve as a liaison to selected groups.

c. Coordinate with national office staff on work priorities.

d. Report on issues related to the work of the volunteer structure, internal and external stakeholders. e. Respond to ACNM members or related constituent inquiries.

f. Provide input for documents as requested.

g. Represent ACNM to agencies and organizations external to ACNM related to the work of ACNM. Also:

a. Maintain regular contact with their local members to assess the needs of local members and to consider the good of the organization in all their votes; report quarterly to ACNM Board

Nominating Committee

a. Is comprised of seven members voted by eligible voters.

b. Facilitates identification and evaluation of eligible college members to fill vacancies on ACNM Board (i.e. the President Elect).

c. No collaboration between the committee and Board currently exists.

d. Chairperson must be a member who has served at least one (1) year.

e. Members serve a three (3) year term for a total of two (2) consecutive terms.

f. Two (2) committee members are elected each year.

g. Current Nominating Committee members are not eligible for any open Board position.
