NPWS 2014/16 Trials of Horse Riding in Wilderness
This survey is being undertaken by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, and is about how people are using some of the trails and tracks in wilderness areas. It is part of the monitoring of a pilot of horse riding on a small number of selected trails and tracks in wilderness areas in five national parks (the names of the trails are shown in the survey). The monitoring involves this survey and assessment of environmental conditions at sites along the trails.
Anyone who has used these specific trails and tracks, not just horse riders, is invited to complete the survey, and is invited to complete it again every time they use any of the trails. The survey will take about 8 minutes to complete.
The purpose of the survey is to assess people’s use of the trails and tracks and how satisfied they are with their experience on the trails, whilst the horse riding pilot is underway. The survey will run for the duration of the pilot, which is over 2014 and 2016. Further information on the pilots is available at: http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/policies/HorseRideStrat.htm.
Nothing in the survey identifies the person who completed the survey.
