The goal of this day will be to expand awareness of the Red Dress Alert and what the Red Dress Alert may look like when it becomes operational in Manitoba.

The Red Dress Alert contributes to a decrease in violence against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people by:

1. Enhancing Safety in communities
2. Responding to incidences of violence against MMIWG2S+ relatives that are inclusive of wrap-around support
3. Raising public awareness of MMIWG2S+ people
