Project Overview

Located at the top of Awbrey Butte, Sylvan Park features abundant natural area, open lawn, mature trees, a playground, tennis courts, and connections to the Sylvan to Summit trail.

The surrounding neighborhoods, generally encompassed by Mt. Washington Drive and Summit Drive, have considerably grown since the park was developed in 1993 and the wood-based playground is showing its age. This project will replace the playground and its surfacing, and create an accessible route to the playground from the parking area. Surrounding trails, additional parking, the tennis courts, or other park modifications are not a part of this project.

This is your opportunity to tell us how you use Sylvan Park and what features you would love to see in the renovated playground! All the input and feedback received from you and your neighbors, in addition to the opportunities and constraints of the park site, will all be used to develop design concepts for the playground.

Once the design concepts are complete, a second round of public outreach will allow neighbors to review and provide feedback on each design.

Thank you for your input!

If possible, please fill out a survey for each member of your household. We want to hear from all ages!
