Introduction

The Covid-19 pandemic has given rise to a renewed focus on Facilities projects across sectors. Many OECM customers have expressed an interest in Facilities agreements, and with the recent creation of the OECM Facilities Support Team (OFST), OECM is in a unique position to provide customers with access to pre-qualified suppliers to meet these requirements.
 
OECM has received input from customers on Facilities-related procurement projects, and with the support of subject-matter experts, have narrowed the list of possible projects. We would like to seek your feedback regarding the following potential procurement opportunities:

-        Security Systems (e.g. Access Control Solutions)
-        Thermal Scans
-        Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) Inspections

For the purpose of this survey, these projects are defined as follows:

“AODA Products and Consulting Services” (where AODA means Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) is to identify service providers who provide AODA products and also review and assess if a company’s workplaces and facilities meet AODA compliance. This service also makes recommendations for listing the requirements required to make the customer’s facilities AODA compliant.

“Architectural Consulting Services” is to identify service providers that provides professional architectural and/or multidisciplinary design services, which help companies to develop innovative building design solutions.
“Carbon Reduction Consulting Services” is to identify service providers that reviews and assesses a company’s carbon footprints (Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions) and energy use management processes, and provides recommendations and strategies for emissions reduction and reporting support.

“CCTV Systems” (where CCTV means closed-circuit television) is to identify suppliers that can provide surveillance services through the use of video cameras in a specific location for security and monitoring.

“Chemical Treatment” is to identify suppliers that can provide chemical treatments to building hot-water heating systems to ensure a proper chemical balance.

“Civil Consulting Services” is to identify service providers that provide professional civil/structural engineering work for construction and/or renovation projects.

“Coil Cleaning” is to identify service providers that provide services related to the removal of dust, dirt and greases from heating/cooling coils in HVAC systems.
“Electrical Vehicles' is to identify service providers that provide the supply of Electrical Vehicles and related services.

“Elevator Annual Maintenance” is to identify service providers that provide services related to the preventative routine inspection, maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and documentation related to passenger elevator systems.

“Emergency Generators”
is to identify service providers that provide inspection and maintenance services related to stand-by generators that are used as back-up electrical systems that operate automatically  during a utility outage.

“PA
Systems (Supply and Repairs)” (where PA means public-address) is to identify service providers that supply and provide maintenance/repairs to PA Systems and their related equipment.


“Playground and Gym Annual Inspections and Repairs” is to identify service providers that provide inspection and maintenance services including visual and physical safety inspection audit for all playground structures and gymnasium equipment operated by the customer.
“Security Systems (e.g. Access Control Solutions)” is to identify service providers that supply, install, repairs and replaces access control systems, providing the security that the customer requires. Systems should be specific to location/building/room function, facility and door type, with maximum flexibility for expansion in the future.

“Thermal Scans” is to identify service providers that provide infrared scanning/thermal imaging of main electrical systems to allow the detection of loose electrical connections.

“Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) Inspections” is to identify service providers that provide for the testing, inspection and repairs of backup battery power supply systems that keep computer systems and IT equipment safe and operational during power surges and failures.

This survey has been created to ascertain current interest from OECM Customers for the aforementioned projects which will assist OECM’s decision making in expanding our Facilities-related agreement category.
