SRC Resolutions 2015 Annual General Meeting Ottawa: Follow Up Survey |
Seven Questions
The CUC, at the May 2015 Annual Meeting in Ottawa, resolved in part to encourage member organizations:
One-to review their congregational investments with a view to taking action --- to divest from "Carbon Undergound 200" companies and to mitigate climate change via supporting --- and investing in renewable energy and conservation.
Two- to engage, join with and support others in the community in collective/cooperative political activity(s) to persuade first municipal and subsequently provincial and then federal government --- to enact, within their jurisdictions, resolutions, by-laws and/or legislation as appropriate to protect the rights for all to clean air, water and soil along with the right to know what pollutants are being released.
Further the CUC Environmental Monitoring Group undertook to survey members to determine and report on progress in 2016 and 2017; hence this survey.
Please complete this survey even if others in your congregation/fellowship may be responding. The Environmental Monitoring Group will resolve any conflicting responses and/or seek clarification if required.
