SAFE requires that any donations you receive that are gently used are to be washed before donating to an organization directly.  If you are donating your items to one of our SAFE chapter members, they will take care of washing any gently used items.  SAFE has a guide to cleaning stuffed animals listed on the 'stuffed animal drives' page of our website to show you how to do this.  This guide also explains the difference between stuffed animals that are "new" and those that are "gently used".
